Manama (Agenzia Fides) - Saving human lives and promoting the noble cause of blood donation in the Catholic community of Bahrain is the objective of the Campaign recently held in the capital, Manama.
The launch of "Drops of Life", the name of the Campaign, was carried out by the Youth Movement of the Church of the Sacred Heart of Manama, in the Apostolic Vicariate of North Arabia, supported by volunteers and supporters.
The Jesus Youth movement held the successful event on February 23, 2024 with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of blood donation and encouraging more people to become regular donors. "The volunteers worked tirelessly to organize the event," they inform Fides, "spreading the importance of blood donation and encouraging people to participate. The local hospital also expressed its gratitude for the generous initiative." Starting with the parish priest of the Sacred Heart Church, Fr. Francis Padavupurackkal Joseph, ofm cap., some 200 registered donors of the parish contributed to this noble cause promoted during the Lenten season that has just begun.
