Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - "The Magisterium of the Successor of Peter will now be available in Mongolian. A new tool at the service of evangelization that, we hope, will develop its full potential through today's communication channels," emphasizes Cardinal Giorgio Marengo, apostolic prefect of Ulaanbaatar, told Vatican Radio on the occasion of the inclusion of the Mongolian-language program in the Vatican media. According to Vatican Radio, thanks to a collaboration with the local Church, this language will be added to the 51 languages already present, both written and spoken, thanks to a collaboration with the local Church. In particular, every Sunday Angelus and Wednesday catechesis will be translated and published on the Vatican portal pages. "We are pleased with this new opportunity to read the Holy Father's words in Mongolian in the future," Cardinal Marengo told Vatican Radio. It is one of the fruits of the Pope's recent visit to the land of the eternal blue sky, during which he touched the hearts of Mongolian Catholics, but also those of many people of other religious beliefs, who were positively impressed by the great human and spiritual witness of Pope Francis. "We launched the work on this project during the Pope's trip to Mongolia (see Fides 2/9/2023)", highlights Massimiliano Menichetti, Head of Vatican Radio Vatican News, "inspired precisely by his support for this small community." "We have now started to publish on the 'Vatican News' portal in written form, but later there could also be an audio production. We are working on synergy models with the local churches for the hope that changes the world "to make our voices heard more and more". (Agenzia Fides, 31/1/2024)
