Shanghai (Agenzia Fides) - Imitate the example of Mary, learn from her "fiat" to welcome with an open and trusting heart the free gift of salvation from God: this is the invitation that the Bishop of Shanghai Joseph Shen Bin addressed to all during the solemn Eucharistic liturgies that he celebrated in two parishes of the diocese dedicated to Mary Immaculate, respectively on Saturday December 9 and Sunday December 10, concelebrations during which the bishop also administered the sacrament of confirmation to 77 people baptized. In the parish of Tailai, dedicated to Mary Immaculate, Mgr Shen Bin presided over the concelebration of the Eucharist, in which around thirty priests also participated. After conferring Confirmation on 60 parishioners, the bishop shared his joy at being together with the more than a thousand faithful who had gathered for the celebration, encouraging everyone to seek to say "yes" to the love of God with a confident heart, like Mary, overcoming everything that “prevents us from going to meet the Lord.” In the parish of Tairi, also dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, Bishop Shen conferred the sacrament of confirmation on 17 confirmands.
