Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On January 5, 2023, Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle appointed rev. Anthony Muthu Anthony Raju, of the diocesan clergy of Ootacamund as Rector of the "Good Shepherd" interdiocesan Seminary located in the diocese of Coimbatore, in India.
The new Rector was born in Kongarpalayam, in Tamil Nadu, on April 14, 1967 and was ordained a priest on May 10, 1994. He obtained a bachelor's degree in philosophy and in theology at the Good Shepherd Seminary in Coimbatore (India), then a doctorate in Pastoral care and Counseling at the Catholic University of America, in Washington (United States of America). He also holds a Baccalaureate in Science and a degree in History. In his diocese in Ootacamund he was assistant parish priest and parish priest, as well as vice-rector of the minor Seminary.
