AFRICA/TOGO - Appointment of bishop of Atakpamé, Moïse Touho

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On October 26, 2022, the Holy Father appointed the Reverend Moïse Touho, of the clergy of the diocese of Atakpamé, Togo, until now parish priest of Saint François-Xavier in Badou, as bishop of the same diocese.
Msgr. Moïse Touho was born on 31 December 1963 in Tomegbe, in the diocese of Atakpamé. He studied at the major seminary of Saint Gall in Ouidah, Benin, and subsequently at the seminary of Cremona, Italy, where he was ordained a priest on 27 June 1992 for the diocese of Atakpamé.
He was awarded a licentiate in spiritual theology from the Salesian Pontifical University in Rome (1998-2000).
He has held the following roles: parish vicar in Blitta (1993-1994); parish priest in Kpékplémé (1994-1995); and special secretary to the apostolic administrator of Atakpamé (1995-1998); head of the Spirituality Centre in Agbandi (2000-2002); administrator (2002-2006) and parish priest of Saint Augustin in Agadji (2006-2017); since 2017, parish priest of Saint François-Xavier in Badou, member of the Presbyteral Council, and vicar forane.
