Mexico City (Agenzia Fides) - More than 80 students from different Latin American countries are taking part in the 44th edition of the Latin American Course on Missionary Animation and Spirituality (CLAEM), which is being held for the second consecutive year. Promoted by the Pontifical Mexican Missionary Union (PMU) in collaboration with the Pontifical Urbaniana University, the course began on July 1 and will run until the 29th of this month on the ZOOM platform. It consists of 120 academic hours, 80 of which are class lessons and 40 group or individual work, all online. The general objective is to train missionary animators theologically, spiritually and methodologically: specifically, it is about deepening missionary spirituality in order to respond in the most appropriate way to the needs of the Church and the world of today. The theme of the course "Disciples and missionaries, exercising their mission according to their vocation" is the leitmotif of the four weeks underway, each characterized by a sub-theme. In particular, this week the lectures will be held by Father Dinh Anh Nhue Nguyen, OFM Conv, general secretary of the Pontifical Missionary Union, who develops the following theme day by day: "The missio ad gentes as a paradigm of all ecclesial activity - A biblical-theological path".
