Ningbo (Agenzia Fides) - As the World Meeting of Families approaches in Rome, which closed the Year dedicated to the "Amoris Laetitia Family" announced by Pope Francis (March 19, 2021 - June 26, 2022), the diocese of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, Mainland China, concluded the Diocesan Year of the "Amoris Laetitia Family" on June 25, with the delivery of the Diploma of formation on the Christian family to 48 Christian couples.
Now these couples, as seeds of the community, set out with the task of spreading what they have learned during a year of study based on faith and Christian marriage. The diocese hopes that they will be able to transmit the spirit and the joy of the Christian family that they have deepened, to other couples around them, helping them to build or rebuild good marital and family relationships.
At the beginning of the year, the priests and nuns of the diocese had prepared an intensive course dedicated to the Amoris Laetitia family for the couples of the community, with a presentation of Pope Francis' exhortation Amoris Laetitia, on love in the family, an in-depth study of the theology of the body, the difficulties of the family in today's society, the preparation for married life and the challenges within the family ..... In addition, they also organized 9 in-depth workshops to encourage the exchange and concrete sharing of experiences. The great Jesuit missionaries, Fr. Michele Ruggieri and Fr. António de Almeida brought the Gospel to this land in 1585. According to statistics updated to May 2018, the diocese of Ningbo has more than 30,000 faithful, about thirty priests and as many diocesan nuns, 14 seminarians and 19 catechists.
