Caracas (Agenzia Fides) - The Bishops of Venezuela, through the Department of Liturgy, have prepared a subsidy for the celebration of Holy Week with the family, facilitating the experience of living these holy days as a domestic Church. "These times of Covid-19 demand of us a maximum responsibility in mutual care, and the great sacrifice for which many cannot participate in the liturgical life of the Church, but responding to this emergency presents us with the opportunity to grow and strengthen the spiritual life as a family, Domestic Church, the desire to be able to meet again to sing praises to the Lord together", is what is written in the introduction of the subsidy, sent to Fides.
In several countries, as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic, it will not be possible for the faithful to participate in person in the Holy Week celebrations, so the Bishops' Conferences have prepared some aids and cards that families can use during these days, from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday.
"We present these subsidies - affirm the bishops in the text - with the intention of keeping Christian spirituality alive through prayer and family celebration of Holy Week and, mainly, of the Easter Triduum, the mystery of Easter, the center of the liturgical and spiritual life of the Church".
