Madrid (Agenzia Fides) - The University of Saint Damasus (UESD), in collaboration with the Pontifical Mission Societies of Spain, are organizing on March 24 the Missiological Day "Jesus Christ, Savior of men and peoples", which can be followed online through its YouTube channel. The day "aims to deepen the fundamental affirmation of faith in Jesus Christ: unique and universal Savior". On the other hand, "this affirmation is the source and content of the Church's mission", explain its organizers.
The event will be presented by Agustín Giménez González, Director of the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences, and by Juan Carlos Carvajal Blanco, Coordinator of the Chair of Missiology of the UESD Faculty of Theology. Ángel Cordovilla Pérez, professor at the Faculty of Theology of the Universidad Pontificia Comillas, will then present: "Jesus Christ, mystery of salvation for man". The day will conclude with an intervention by Fr. José María Calderón Castro, National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies and member of the Chair of Missiology.
