Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On February 8, Pope Francis received the representatives of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Holy See to exchange New Year's wishes. In his address, the Pope went into detail on the health, economic and social consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic and addressed the crises that were caused or highlighted by the pandemic, but also recalled "the opportunities that it presents from the building a more humane, fairer, more solidarity and peaceful world", and concluded that "fraternity is the real cure against the pandemic and against the many evils that have hit us. Fraternity and hope are like medicines that the world needs today, like vaccines". (SL) (Agenzia Fides, 9/2/2021)
