AFRICA/GUINEA - Appointment of the National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies, Fr. Sebastien Bidiare

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On 25 July 2020, Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed Fr. Sebastien Bidiare, of the archdiocesan clergy of Conakry as National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in Guinea for a five-year period (2020-2025).
The new National Director was born in Koundara on January 1, 1963 and was ordained a priest in Sainte Marie Cathedral of Conakry on February 10, 1990. Among the positions held: assistant parish priest, parish priest, episcopal vicar for catechesis. From 2000 to 2002 he obtained a Licentiate in Law and a Master in Marriage and Family Sciences in Cotonou, Benin. Since then he has been parish priest in various parishes of his diocese. He is currently parish priest of Saint Jean de Dabompa and secretary of the Episcopal Commission for the pastoral care of the family. (SL) (Agenzia Fides, 2/10/2020)
