AMERICA/HAITI - Appointment of the National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies, Fr. Junior Phares Larosiliere

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On April 19, 2020 Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed Fr. Junior Phares Larosiliere, of the diocesan clergy of Port au Prince as National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in Haiti, for a five-year period (2020-2025).
The new National Director was born on 23 October 1967 in Cavaillon and was ordained a priest in the Cathedral of Port au Prince on 27 December 2000. After his primary studies, he entered the Saint Martial minor Seminary in 1991 and then studied philosophy and theology at the major Seminary. From 2007 to 2010 he studied Biblical Theology in Rome, Jerusalem and Germany. After ordination he was deputy parish priest and parish priest, seminary professor and in other communities, diocesan director of the PMS, preacher of retreats. (SL) (Agenzia Fides, 15/7/2020)
