AFRICA/SOUTH SUDAN - Appointment of the Rector of the St. Paul Inter-diocesan Major Seminary of Juba

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On 12 May 2020 Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed Fr. Baptist Karim Bazawi Michel Moura, of the diocesan clergy of Tombura Yambio as Rector of the St. Paul Inter-diocesan Major Seminary in the Archdiocese of Juba, South Sudan.
The new national Rector was born on December 20, 1966 and was ordained a priest on May 5, 1996.
He attended the St. Paul Major Seminary in Khartoum, where he obtained his baccalaureate in Theology, and the Pontifical Urbaniana University in Rome, where he obtained his licentiate and doctorate in moral Theology. After ordination he was deputy parish priest, parish priest, rector of two diocesan seminaries, episcopal vicar for the clergy.
He is currently a professor and formator at the St. Paul Inter-diocesan Major Seminary in Juba. (SL) (Agenzia Fides, 14/7/2020)
