Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On 22 January 2020, Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed rev. Luis Alberto Hernandez Guzman, of the diocesan clergy of Matagalpa as National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in Nicaragua, for a five-year period (2020-2025).
The new National Director was born in Matagalpa on August 17, 1977 and was ordained a priest 18 years ago. He obtained his licentiate in Missiology at the Pontifical Urbaniana University. He was viceparish priest and parish priest; head of the Commission for Evangelization and Mission; seminary formator and treasurer. (SL) (Agenzia Fides, 13/5/2020)
