Damascus (Agenzia Fides) - On May 1, on the occasion of Labor day, Syrian Orthodox Patriarch Mar Ignatius Aphrem II invited a large delegation of health workers in Damascus. The Primate of the Syrian Antiochene Church wanted to offer a banquet in their honor, to also express the gratitude of the Syrian population for the work carried out in recent years by medical personnel in emergency conditions. During the meeting, some representatives of health workers shared their experiences during the time of the conflict, also recalling the colleagues killed during the conflict.
