AFRICA/TOGO - Appointment of the Rector of the Interdiocesan Theological Seminary in the Archdiocese of Lomé

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On 18 July 2018 Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed the rev. Fr. Etienne Inibide, of the diocesan clergy of Kara as Rector of the Interdiocesan Theological Seminary in the Archdiocese of Lomé, in Togo.
The new Rector was born on December 31, 1970 in Guérin-Kouka and was ordained a priest on December 29, 1998. After primary and secondary school studies, he attended the preparatory Seminary of Misserete, in Benin, and then studied philosophy and theology at the Saint Gall Major Seminary of Ouidah, also in Benin. He obtained a licentiate (2005-2008) and a doctorate (2008-2010) in Canon Law at the Pontifical Urbaniana University. He was vice parish priest, parish administrator, parish priest in different parishes, diocesan chaplain of Jec, diocesan chancellor, member of the interdiocesan ecclesiastical court of Lomé.
