Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On 19 April 2018 Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed His Exc. Msgr. Michel Dubost, CIM, Bishop emeritus of Evry-Corbeil-Essonnes (France), as National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in France for a five-year term (2018/2023).
The new National Director of the PMS was born in Safi, Morocco, on April 15, 1942. He was ordained a priest on May 15, 1967. He belongs to the Congregation of Jesus and Mary, whose members are better known as Eudists, from the name of the founder, Saint Giovanni Eudes. In 1989 he was appointed Military Ordinary for France and ordained Bishop (September 8). In 2000 he was transferred as Ordinary to the diocese of Evry-Corbeil-Essonnes.
