San Juan (Agenzia Fides) – The We All Care, Inc non-profit organization has launched an appeal to people in Puerto Rico to get together to collect shoes for needy children aged 3 to 9 in Haiti. On that Caribbean island in fact, 90% of the schools are private, run by communities, religious organizations or non-profit foundations. In all these schools pupils are required to wear uniform and shoes. Last month We All Care, Inc non-profit organization went to Haiti to launch projects in a number of schools in the city of Ouanaminthe and elsewhere. “We helped set up community water wells and distributed food, clothing, shoes and prime necessities among the poorest families”, We All Care informed Fides. “We visited rural communities where farming projects are already underway and helped teach them how to start home vegetable plots”, the report continued.
We All Care mission aims to help children and adolescents lacking the basic support necessary for their spiritual, physical and social growth in Puerto Rico and elsewhere.
