Monday, 28 November 2016

Bangui (Agenzia Fides) - "There really is a before and after Pope Francis’ visit" sources of the Church in the Central African Republic told Agenzia Fides one year after Pope Francis’ visit, from 29 to 30 November 2015 (see Fides 28/11/2015).
"Despite the difficulties we are going through, people still thank for the love that the Holy Father demonstrated and continues to demonstrate towards this Country. The peaceful elections that allowed the election of the new President are considered as a gift of this visit. The appointment as Cardinal of the Archbishop of Bangui, Mgr. Dieudonné Nzapalainga, is seen as a further attention of the Holy Father towards the Country".
In memory of the event, on December 11 there will be a Thanksgiving Mass presided by newly-elected Cardinal Nzapalainga. (L.M.) (Agenzia Fides 28/11/2016)
