Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Executive Committee of the Pontifical Mission Societies along with PMS employees would like to warmly thank Fr. Vito del Prete, PIME, for his seven years (2009-2016) spent in the management of the Agency. We want to express our gratitude for his efforts to make the agency more and more an information tool of the missionary journey in all the continents. In this period Agenzia Fides in particular valued the work of evangelization of the young local Churches, in order to nurture an authentic spiritual and material cooperation at the service of the good and salvation of all men.
In the troubled and complex historical period that humanity is experiencing, the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS), will continue in this formative commitment so that the difficulties and hardships of our world and the Church are not interpreted as "excuses for diminishing our commitment and our fervour" in the work of evangelization (cf.
