Brasilia (Agenzia Fides) - "Missionary Childhood and Adolescence (IAM) in schools" is the theme of the third missionary formation Week which will take place from July 25 to 29 in Brasilia, at the headquarters of the Missionary Cultural Center (CCM). Sponsored by CCM, by the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) and the National Association of Catholic education (ANEC), the Week of formation is aimed at educators, and coordinators of the pastoral care of schools.
According to information sent to Fides, IAM groups are throughout Brazil, in communities and in parishes but also in Catholic schools, so there is a need for a more complete formation of educators who accompany these groups, as well as deepening the missionary proposal of IAM for a better integration in the educational project of schools.
The goal of the Week is therefore to strengthen and expand the methodology of IAM in schools, incentivize the pastoral care of schools, in coordination with the National Secretariat of IAM. The Week of formation involves conversations and discussions on the following topics: "Challenges and opportunities in childhood and adolescence", "Education to globality", "Pastoral and pedagogical action in educational unity".
