Bogota (Agenzia Fides) - The Pontifical Javeriana University opens a new course of study for a diploma in human rights of migrants and international agreements, to be held in Bogota. The aim is to offer a space for reflection and qualification to Colombian state officials, members of civil society organizations and international cooperation, on the foundations of international law, international relations and the Colombian legislation. According to the note sent to Fides, the aim is to help improve the protection of human rights of Colombian migrants in the framework of international agreements.
The course, which will take place from August to November, is divided into three modules. The first is dedicated to the framework of the protection of human rights of migrants at international, regional and national levels. The second analyzes the implications and challenges of international agreements in the face of the protection of the human rights of migrants. The third includes lectures and practical training for the construction of public policies in Colombia that have the aim of a complete and effective protection of human rights of Colombian migrants in the context of globalization.
