Buyoga (Agenzia Fides) - In view of the positive results achieved so far by the various projects undertaken in the vicinity of the village of Muyanza, Rulindo district (Rwanda), the Movement Fighting World Hunger has set a new target: to intervene in order to improve the nutritional situation in Buyoga. We are talking about a food security development project for young mothers and their children in the area. The activities are developed mainly in four directions and provide awareness raising aimed at young mothers, a sonogram, a hemoglobin analyzer and other diagnostic materials at the Muyanza Health Center and its specific training to health personnel and training courses for local farmers. The project will start on July 1 with training and awareness activities; in 3 years 500 pregnant women and 1,000 children will be helped. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 15/06/2016)
