AMERICA/NICARAGUA - A work program for women and young people in poverty

Managua (Agenzia Fides) - The non-profit organization Cuso International, engaged with its volunteers to fight poverty, has launched in Nicaragua the Voice work program, Voluntary work for International Cooperation and Empowerment, addressed to women and young people in poverty. The protagonists will be involved in sustainable and inclusive economic initiatives, individually or collectively. The program will run for a period of five years in the Corredor Seco area, in the north and west of the Country, in Managua, and in Río San Juan in southern Nicaragua. Voice aims to improve the socio-economic well-being of people living in situations of poverty and vulnerability in different Countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean and is promoted by the General Affairs of the Government of Canada.
