Addis Ababa (Agenzia Fides) - The precarious situation that Ethiopia is living due to water shortage (see Fides 09/03/2016) continues to affect the battered population even at a health level. In an appeal launched by the Spanish Embassy in Addis Ababa, the country's Ministry of Health has confirmed the occurrence of cholera outbreaks in Oromia, in the Somali region and that of the Peoples of the South. Health authorities urge everyone to be extremely vigilant with regards to hygiene measures, in particular those who are engaged in camps for displaced persons or working in areas which are in the most difficult conditions with regard to water supply and cleaning.
