Abuja (Agenzia Fides) - Redeem children abandoned in the streets by their families and accused of being sorcerers: is the goal of the NGO African Children's Aid Education and Development Foundation. We are talking about small creatures, even infants, who roam naked, malnourished and dehydrated. What drew the attention to this cruel phenomenon was the recent recovery of a two-year-old child by an activist of the NGO. The young child, found dying, was brought to the Foundation's headquarters, washed, dressed, fed and examined by a doctor. Unfortunately there are many young children accused of witchcraft who die of hunger and thirst, others are victims of all kinds of abuse. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 25/02/2016)
