Faith

Shi Jia Zhuang (Agenzia Fides) - Consolidate faith and incentivize spiritual life, especially sacramental life in this Year of Mercy, promote evangelization through the witness of life, renew the parish council, promote exchanges with other communities, keep the door of the church open and especially the hearts of the faithful towards all: are some of the aspects highlighted on the occasion of the pastoral evaluation that most Chinese parishes made during the end of year assembly, each with its own characteristics.
According to information gathered by Agenzia Fides, the community of the Cathedral of the Diocese of Wen Zhou in Zhe Jiang province, began the meeting with the study of the Pope's message for World Peace Day, and planned a number of initiatives to live the Year of Mercy: periodic community reading of the Misericordiae Voltes, the bull of indiction of the Jubilee and the pastoral letter of the diocesan Bishop; community prayer on the mercy, the pilgrimage, charity work ... to be held every Friday afternoon.
"One plus one" is the commitment that has characterized the parish of Shun Qing of the Diocese in Nan Chang: every believer has in fact proposed to bring a new member in the community. During the assembly, which was held on January 26, priests, religious, deacons, seminarians and lay people presented the overall picture of each group (readers, charity, altar servers, choir, liturgy ...) and how each prepared the program "One plus one". The parish priest thanked everyone for their efforts, which led to a good number of baptized. Some non-Christians were also invited to attend the assembly.
The parish of Bei Tang, of the Diocese of Gui Yang, analyzed the work of 14 pastoral groups during the meeting on 24 January. The word of God was the point of reference in 2015. The group of the "Vineyard of the Lord" visited 73 sick, poor and needy people, while the group that is committed to answering the questions of those who wish to learn about the Catholic faith received numerous young people, helping them to come to the Church ... In the Year of Mercy everyone is prepared to "continue to give concrete evidence to bring the Gospel to the suburbs and to all". (NZ) (Agenzia Fides 02/02/2016)
