Currently HAC, in collaboration with community leaders, is registering those who have taken refuge in the Abu Zar camp in El Geneina. So far 130 families have been registered, about 650 people. A mission of the United Nations-African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) traveled to Mouli and Atia on January 12. According to UNAMID, much of the village of Atia was destroyed during military attacks, 70 homes destroyed. Other villages were also affected by the violence, all within 10 to 20 kilometers from the State capital. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 27/01/2016)
