Seoul (Agenzia Fides) - "When you feel frustrated, think of the unconditional love of God and remember that God loves you just as you are.
When we experience the power of God's love, the world will begin to change", is what His Exc. Mgr. Peter Chung Soon-taek, Auxiliary Bishop of Seoul said to 100 young people gathered in Seoul for a workshop on Pastoral youth.
Organized to mark the Year of Mercy, the meeting, as a note sent to Fides by the Archdiocese informs, addressed the frustration and confusion that often afflict the youth also in parishes and among youth volunteer groups. "It is always important to think about the love of God and understand that everything happens according to God's plan", said the Bishop.
Mgr. Peter Chung Soon-taek also insisted on the aspect of vocation: "Whatever the reason that brought you here, it was a call from God. It is God's plan for you. And remember that sometimes we need to see his grace through sacrifice".
The seminar, organized by the Department of Youth of the Archdiocese of Seoul, aims to help young Catholics who attend youth groups in parishes in a program of evangelization. It has nothing to do with "teaching them technical skills", said Fr. Peter Lee Tae-chul, head of the Department, but to "help them strengthen their faith, lighting the fire of enthusiasm in their hearts". (PA) (Agenzia Fides 25/01/2016)
