Riobamba (Agenzia Fides) - The delivery of 100 school kits to children, girls and adolescents in the canton of Chambo, by the Ministry for Economic and Social Inclusion (MIES), along with cooperating institutions involved in the eradication of child labor, is added to the previous 1,780 kits already distributed with the aim of fostering the educational process of the population.
Other materials, especially notebooks, dictionaries, rulers, markers, pencils, rubbers, were delivered in the municipalities of Pungalá, Calpi and Flores as well as in the cantons of Riobamba, Colta, Guamote, Alausí.
According to the district authorities of MIES in Chimborazo, the best investment in such a poor area is the education of many who without studying would be forced to live on the streets. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 05/10/2015)
