EUROPE/ITALY - Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in Rome and Mayo Clinic in USA cooperate to guarantee health for children. September 19 and 20 discussion of principal paediatric pathologies

Rome (Fides Service) - A new important chapter will start in the already articulated medical-scientific collaboration between two major centres of paediatrics at the world level Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in Rome and Mayo Clinic Rochester in the United States. Experts from these two hospitals meet 19 and 20 September at Urban University in Rome to discuss latest progress in diagnosis, organisation and therapy on both sides of the Atlantic to guarantee health for children.
In two days of discussion American and Italian experts, researches and specialists will consider aspects of oncological, immunological and metabolic pathologies, giving special attention to infections and transplants.
Collaboration between Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital and Mayo Clinic started in 2002, has already led to cooperation for solutions to specific elements, shared formation, exchange, nurses and technicians between Rome and Rochester of doctors and the development joint bio-medical research.
