Lahore (Fides Service) - “I hope and pray that the pro-family demonstration tomorrow in Spain will be a great success” Dominican Fr. James Channan director of Pastoral Institute of Multan in Pakistan told Fides.
“To affirm that unions of people of the same sex are equal to marriage is a serious violation of the sanctity of matrimony as willed by God. We totally disapprove laws which give homosexual unions the status of matrimony in Spain or elsewhere in the world”. Fr. Channan said he was very pleased that the Bishops of Pakistan have expressed support for the demonstration tomorrow June 18 in Madrid. He also voiced satisfaction that Italians rejected the referendum to relax fertility treatment laws and said this was a step to defend the unborn child.
