Cairo (Fides Service) - “The suicide bomber who blew himself up in one of the parts of Cairo most visited by tourists, between the Khan el Khalili market and the Al Azhar Mosque, was a member of a group of Islam fundamentalists”, a Catholic priest in Cairo told Fides. “The bomb blast was in protest against president Moubarak’s decision to announce three days of mourning out of respect for Pope John Paul II”.
