OCEANIA/NEW ZEALAND - Archbishop of Wellington resigns, Coadjutor Archbishop takes over

Vatican City (Fides Service) - The Holy Father Pope John Paul II, on 21 March 2005, accepted the renunciation of the pastoral government of the Archdiocese of Wellington (New Zealand), presented by Cardinal Thomas Stafford Williams, in conformity with the Code of Canon Law, canon 401 § 1.
