Taipei (Fides Service) - In a message of good wishes for Lunar New Year dated 9 February Cardinal Paul Shan, President of the Chinese Regional Bishops’ Conference, said among other things: “At the beginning of a new year, as Spring approaches, I wish you all health in mind and body, happiness in families, success in business, and ever higher aims for your spiritual and moral life. At the same time I ask God to bless our country. I hope all humanity will practice justice and charity. I ask God to bless all tsunami victims and those made homeless people by the natural disaster in Asia. May the Lord protect survivors and may they receive aid offered with love.
