Alexandria (Agenzia Fides) - In the intense program of the pastoral visit made in Alexandria last weekend, Coptic Orthodox Patriarch Tawadros II wanted to include a meeting of reflection and prayer with more than twenty wives of Coptic Orthodox priests working in the east sector of the Egyptian metropolis. As reported by sources close to the Coptic Church, Pope Tawadros carried out his meditation combining reflections on life, the priest’s vocation and reflections on the reality of motherhood and marriage as outlined in biblical texts.
In Coptic churches there is a possibility to choose candidates for priesthood both among those who live celibacy and among those who are married. (GV) (Agenzia Fides 07/07/2015)
