Aden (Agenzia Fides) - After the bombing that devastated the city of Aden and caused hundreds of injuries, other cases of civilian casualties and damage to civilian facilities have also been recorded on the densely populated areas of Sana'a, Hodeidah, Taiz, Saada, Amran, Ad-Dhale and other areas. The conflict in Yemen becomes more and more serious and the consequences on the civilian population are terrible. A statement issued by the NGO Doctors Without Borders (MSF), sent to Fides, highlights that it is hard to find food because many shops are closed. There is no running water and the journey to wells lasts three to four hours on foot. MSF has brought 105 tons of humanitarian aid supplies to the facilities it runs and supports in Yemen, and has received more than 3,800 war-wounded patients since March 19, 2015. MSF works in Aden, Taiz and Sana’a, and are running mobile clinics to provide medical care to thousands of displaced people who have fled their homes to escape the bombing. In addition, the NGO has also provided water tanks, non-food items, and hygiene kits for families. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 07/07/2015)
