Madrid (Agenzia Fides) - Tomorrow, May 22, in more than 30 countries in the world, about 350,000 children will take part in the "Race Against Hunger", an initiative promoted by the humanitarian organization Acción contra el Hambre. Worldwide, 1,400 educational centers will participate in this humanitarian, playful and sporty project, with the aim of supporting the NGOs in the fight against child malnutrition. "Race Against Hunger" is an initiative of citizen awareness and fundraising that starts from the idea that hunger is not inevitable and has a solution.
It aims to raise awareness among children about the causes and consequences of hunger. The funds raised will be donated to the fight against malnutrition in countries like the Philippines, Mali, Bolivia or Burkina Faso. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 21/05/2015)
