AFRICA/ETHIOPIA - Easter resurrection and the birth of twins in one of the most forgotten areas in the world

Tuesday, 14 April 2015

Jijiga (Agenzia Fides) - We have just concluded the Easter celebrations in the eastern region of Ethiopia known as Somali, named by the Somali people who live there. Even in the heart of Islam a group of faithful celebrated the death and resurrection of Christ. According to reports from a local source to Agenzia Fides, for the first time the small Christian chapel was well adorned and decorated. Among the happy events of these Easter celebrations is the story of a young pregnant girl who was lovingly assisted during her pregnancy by some missionaries in the area. On Good Friday, the woman gave birth to twins. (AP) (Agenzia Fides 14/04/2015)
