Bogotà (Agenzia Fides) - "A portal of portals", this is how the new web page can be described that was opened recently by the Latin American Episcopal Council (CELAM) and is promoted by all the Bishops' Conferences of Latin America.
There you can find each sector of evangelization that CELAM follows: Noticelam (news); Migrantes Hoy (Pastoral Care of Migrants); Portal radiofónico (the Catholic commitment to radio communications, and perhaps the most important in the continent); Pastoral Juvenil Latinoamericana (Youth Pastoral); Mapas de comunicación (new site that gives information about the media in each country); Centralidad de la niñez (Pastoral Care of children); rivista LatidoAmérica (a collection of magazines, news, studies, testimonials and other information on the difficult moments of life on the continent, with a special glance at poverty, ecology, marginalization and indigenous communities).
In practice this is an effort to reach "the suburbs" to which Pope Francis makes constant reference, for a culture of encounter and dialogue with the poor, the young, migrants, children, indigenous people, the world of communication. (CE) (Agenzia Fides 01/15/2015)
