Friday, 2 January 2015

Amman (Agenzia Fides) - Legal opinions and religious edicts pronounced on the basis of the Sharia and Islamic jurisprudence are regulated and cannot be pronounced indiscriminately by unauthorized persons. This is what the Grand Mufti of Jordan Abdul Karim Khasawneh said during a legal conference held at the end of 2014 and dedicated to the instruments of control of the Fatwa operating in the Hashemite Kingdom. In his speech, Khasawneh said that the legal rulings inspired by the Sharia are reserved for members of expert advice, who are appointed by the government based on the suggestions and recommendations expressed by the Grand Mufti.
