ASIA/INDIA - Artists of different faiths reflect on Saint Francis Xavier

Goa (Agenzia Fides) – For the first time artists in Goa of different faiths have come together at an Art Exhibition organised on the occasion of the exposition of relics of Saint Francis Xavier. According to information sent to Fides from the Jesuit General House in Rome, the exhibition Images of Faith, being held at Pilar Seminary, focuses on the life of Saint Francis Xavier. This is the second exhibition organised at Pilar Theological College, and artists of different faiths have been invited to reflect on Francis Xavier. The event includes a display of handmade items produced by members of the many different ethnic communities with whom the Pilar Society works in mission areas. While the exhibition continues there will be a musical play: Mission Japan, on the life of Saint Francis Xavier. (SL) (Agenzia Fides 06/12/2014)
