AMERICA/BOLIVIA - Towards CAM 5: Bolivia presents a preliminary work plan

La Paz (Agenzia Fides) - A delegation of those responsible for the Missions of Bolivia is in Honduras to attend a meeting on the conclusions of the fourth American Missionary Congress (CAM 4-COMLA 9) that took place last year in Venezuela (see Fides 28/11/2013). The delegation is led by Mgr. Eugenio Scarpellini, Bishop of El Alto and National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS). This includes Mgr. Julio María Elías Montoya, Apostolic Vicar of El Beni and President of the Commission for the Missions of the Bolivian Episcopal Conference (CEB); Father Luis López, PMS diocesan Director of Santa Cruz; Sister Cilenia Rojas, National Coordinator of the PMS; Marcos Cruz, Secretary for CAM5 - COMLA10.
The delegation of Bolivia takes part in the meeting organized by CELAM in Tegucigalpa (Honduras), from 17 to 21 November, with the aim of sharing and examining what was experienced in Maracaibo during CAM 4, reflect together on the results of the event to implement a missionary program in every country in the Americas.
Bolivia, according to the statement sent to Agenzia Fides, will present a preliminary work plan and of animation in view of CAM 5-COMLA 10, which will take place in Bolivia in 2018. "It is an important moment for the continent and for the mission, we hope to strengthen our steps and walk following Jesus with the desire to proclaim and make him present in our lives", said Mgr.Scarpellini before leaving for Tegucigalpa.
