AFRICA/SIERRA LEONE - Mobile sinks to counter Ebola

Friday, 14 November 2014

Freetown (Agenzia Fides) - The initiatives to try to prevent the further spread of the Ebola virus and support the people affected by this terrible disease continue. According to the local newspaper Awoko, last October, the Salesian NGO Don Bosco Fambul donated 20 mobile sinks to the Ministry of Welfare.
The sinks will be distributed in various strategic points in Freetown to make the people aware of the existence of the disease and to take precautionary measures to prevent it. The NGO has as its priority the wellbeing of children, especially those most in need, across Sierra Leone. Their commitment has become even more urgent following the outbreak of Ebola, and in particular in this humanitarian emergency, it is not targeted only for children but for every citizen in the Country.
