Benghazi (Agenzia Fides) - "We continue to live in fear and insecurity. We hope that better times arrive soon", says to Fides Agency His Exc. Mgr. Sylvester Carmel Magro, Apostolic Vicar of Benghazi, the capital of Cyrenaica, where he says, "every day we hear the echoes of the fighting on the outskirts of the city", between the forces of general Haftar and Islamist groups that control it. Mgr. Magro informs that despite the fighting, "thank God there is no shortage of food supplies. There is bread and markets and supermarkets are well stocked". "These are times of prayer and patience", concluded Mgr. Magro, who is preparing to welcome the faithful who have stayed for Sunday Mass. (L.M.) (Agenzia Fides 24/10/2014)
