Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On 11 October 2014, the Holy Father accepted the resignation from the pastoral governance of the Archdiocese of Niamey (Niger), by His Exc. Mgr. Michel Christian Cartatéguy, S.M.A., in accordance with can. 401 § 2 of the Code of Canon Law, and appointed Metropolitan Archbishop of Niamey His Exc. Mgr.
