AFRICA/KENYA – Rector for St. Thomas Aquinas major seminary in Nairobi appointed

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, on 12 March 2014, appointed as Rector of St. Thomas Aquinas major seminary in the Archdiocese of Nairobi (Kenya), Rev. Francis Likunda Lumumba, of the diocesan clergy of Kakamega.
The new rector was born on 26 June 1963. He studied philosophy at the Seminary of St. Augustine (1981-83), and theology at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary (1983-87). Until now, since 29 March 2012, he was Acting Rector at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary. (SL) (Agenzia Fides 04/09/2014)
