Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On May 16, 2014 Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed Rev. Francis Pereira, SVD as Rector of the interdiocesan "Khristo Mohavidyaloyo Jyoti" Seminary in the Diocese of Sambalpur (India).
The new Rector was born on March 13, 1956 in Kanthavara (Mangalore) and was ordained a priest on May 4, 1985. He holds a degree in theology and a Doctorate in Theological Anthropology. Since his ordination he has served as assistant pastor and pastor in several parishes, and since 2002 he has been part of the "Khristo Jyoti Mohavidyaloyo" staff. (SL) (Agenzia Fides 24/07/2014)
