Saturday, 6 November 2004

Seoul (Agenzia Fides) - The Bishops’ Conference of Korea has published a volume containing information of the past ten years of Church life and activity in Korea as well as an overview of the Holy See and Catholic communities all over the world. In the presentation of the book Bishop Andreas Choi Chang-mou, president of the Korean Bishops’ Conference writes “hopefully the volume will be a good reference for bishops and clergy when drafting pastoral guidelines for the Church in Korea”.
The text illustrates the past ten years of the local Church’s activity and mission, dwelling in chronological order on outstanding events in Church life, the history and growth of church associations and organisations complete with statistics.
The text will be used in parishes, associations, schools and other Catholic institutes and also as a tool to help the Catholic community present its face and mission to non believers and become an opportunity for evangelisation.
