Taipei (Agenzia Fides) -Recently during solemn Mass to mark the end of a Course in Evangelisation Archbishop Joseph Cheng of Taipei gave the mission command to 33 new volunteer missionaries who had completed their formation. The Mass was held at the Sacred Heart church in Taipei. According Christian Life Weekly this is the 5th such Formation course for lay missionaries who prepare to work among ethnic minority groups in Taipei. Courses have been held in 1991, 1995, 1997-1999 1999 - 2001.
In his homily the Archbishop told the new missionaries that their mission among people who have yet to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and his Gospel is most important. And he thanked them for offering their services and also their families for the support.
